ANZ ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’ Competition (“Competition”) Terms and Conditions
(“Terms and Conditions”)
- Information on how to enter the Competition and the prizes under the Competition form part of these Terms and Conditions. By participating in the Competition (including by accepting a prize), a person is taken to have accepted, and to have agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
- The “Promoter” is Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited (“ANZ”) (ABN 11 005 357 522) 833 Collins Street, Docklands VIC 3008.
- The Competition commences at 12.01am AEDT on Monday 2 December 2024 and closes at 11.59pm AEDT on Thursday 19 December 2024 (“Promotion Period”).
- Subject to clause 5 below, entry is open to Australian residents (except for ACT, Northern Territory and Tasmanian residents) who:
- are 18 years of age or older at the time of entering the competition; and
- are a current ANZ Plus Visa Debit or ANZ Visa Credit or Debit cardholder customer and continue to be as such during the Promotion Period; and
- must be available to accept the “Prize” (as defined in clause 13), in its entirety (including on the dates outlined in clause 14 of these Terms & Conditions). If the drawn entrant is unable to accept the Prize they will be considered ineligible & the Prize will be forfeited in its entirety, and a new Eligible Entry will be drawn.
(“Eligible Entrant”)
- are 18 years of age or older at the time of entering the competition; and
- To enter the Competition, Eligible Entrants must during the Promotion Period log on to www.hoyts.com.au/anz-circle-at-hoyts, make a ticket purchase using their ANZ Plus Visa Debit or ANZ Visa Credit or Debit card, and complete & submit the entry form (including their email, mobile phone number, postcode and first name. Entrants will be entered in the Draw correlating to their postcode e.g. an entrant with a 3008 postcode will be entered in Draw 2: Victoria) (“Eligible Entry”).
- The purchase of one (1) or multiple tickets in one (1) transaction will be considered as one (1) Eligible Entry, e.g. the purchase of six (6) movie tickets in one (1) transaction will be considered one (1) Eligible Entry in the draw. Multiple entries are permitted.
- The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the eligibility and validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age, place of residence and other eligibility to ensure entrants are compliant with these Terms and Conditions) and reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who the Promoter has reason to believe is ineligible for the Competition or has breached any of these Terms and Conditions, tampered with the entry process or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise fair and proper conduct of the Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. The Promoter's legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.
- If there is a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the identity of the entrant.
- The five (5) draws for the competition winners will take place at 10.00am AEDT on Friday 20 December 2024 at HOYTS, level 7, 600 Church St, Richmond 3121 . The winners will be notified by phone and in writing (relying on the details provided in the winner’s entry) on Friday 20 December 202 The first initial & surname of the winners will be published online at HOYTS.com.au/competitions/ANZ-CircleMufasa from Friday 20 December 2024, subject to clause 25, for a minimum of thirty (30) days. The postcode of the winner who is a South Australian resident will also be published online unless that winner requests otherwise. The Promoter shall not be held liable for any failure to notify the winner resulting from the provision of inaccurate or incomplete information at the time of entry.
- There will be five (5) draws and twenty-five (25) Prize winners in each state Draw i.e. all Eligible Entries received from NSW will be entered in Draw 1; all Eligible Entries received from Victoria will be entered in Draw 2; all Eligible Entries received from South Australia will be entered in Draw 3; all Eligible Entries received from Western Australia will be entered in Draw 4; & all Eligible Entries received from Queensland will be entered in Draw 5.
- The Promoter may draw additional reserve entries and record them in order in case an invalid entry or ineligible entrant is drawn or the Prize remains unclaimed or forfeited.
- The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- The first twenty-five Eligible Entries drawn from all Eligible Entries received in each participating state will receive a Family Pass (for four (4) Adults) to see the screening of Mufasa: The Lion King on Monday 23 December 2024, at the HOYTS cinema location in their state, outlined in the table below.
The maximum retail value of each Prize is $ 48.00. “Prize” as described below:

A Family Pass (for four (4) Adults) to see the screening of Mufasa: The Lion King at 2:30pm on Monday 23 December 2024, at HOYTS Stafford
- Values are correct as at Wednesday 6 November 2024. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the value of the Prize.
- Unless otherwise stated in clause 13 the Prize does not include meals, car parking, additional spending money, insurance, transport to and from the screening, items of a personal nature, or any other ancillary costs. Any other costs of a related, ancillary, personal or incidental nature are not included.
- The Prizes outlined in clause 13 must be taken to coincide with the Mufasa: The Lion King screening in the winner’s state on Monday 23 December 2024.
Additionally;

- Prizes are non-transferable.
- Individual supplier terms and conditions apply. Once the Prize has been accepted, any changes are at the expense of the Winner and their travelling companion.
- To redeem the prize, winners must head to the participating cinema location. Upon entry they must give their full name and state they are attending the ANZ Circle Mufasa screening. They will then be directed to the cinema session.

- If any non-cash prize (or part of any non-cash prize) is unavailable, subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, the Promoter, in its discretion, reserves the right to substitute the non-cash prize (or that part of the non-cash prize) with a prize to the equal value and/or specification, including a substitute prize (or that part of the prize) in the form of cash payment to the winner’s account that was used for the winning transaction.
- If for any reason a winner does not, once the Prize has been accepted, take the prize at the time stipulated, then the prize (or that element of the Prize) will be forfeited and will not be redeemable for cash.
- The Prize is subject to the event venue and ticket terms and conditions, including any applicable age restriction. The Promoter and event organisers hereby expressly reserve the right to eject the winner (and/or his/her/their companions) for any inappropriate behaviour, including but not limited to intoxication, whilst participating in any element of the Prize.
- The prize, or any unused portion of a Prize, are not exchangeable, transferable, refundable, and non-cash prizes are not redeemable for cash.
- Tax implications may arise from the Prize winnings. Independent advice should be sought.
- As a condition of accepting the Prize:
- the winner of a Prize must remain an ANZ customer for the duration of the Prize or until it is otherwise fully taken;
- attendees under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult; and
- a winner (and his/her/their companions) must sign any legal documentation as and in the form required by the Promoter and/or Prize suppliers in their absolute discretion, including but not limited to a legal release and indemnity form. If a winner’s companion is under the age of 18, a nominated parent/legal guardian of such person will be required to sign the legal documentation required under this clause on their behalf.
If the Winner does not accept the Prize in accordance with this clause, they will be deemed to have forfeited a prize. - If a winner forfeits a Prize or notifies the Promoter that they do not wish to accept the Prize, the publication of the winner’s name as outlined in clause 9 will be removed within 24 hours of such forfeiture or notification.
- Entrants consent to the Promoter using their name, likeness, image and/or voice if they accept the Prize (film, recording and/or and photographs of the same) in any media without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this Competition (including any outcome), and any or future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes.
- The Promoter will collect personal information and may use this personal information for assessing and processing your entry into and conducting the Competition and may, for this purpose, disclose such personal information to to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, service providers, prize suppliers and, as required, to Australian regulatory authorities. Entry into the Competition is conditional on providing this personal information.
- The Promoter may collect or process this information from you directly or through service providers who collect your personal information on the Promoter’s behalf.
- The Promoter will also use and handle personal information as set out in its privacy policy and the ANZ Plus Privacy Collection Notice, which can be viewed at www.anz.com.au/privacy/centre/policy and https://www.anz.com.au/plus/privacy/privacy-collection/. The privacy policy and the ANZ Plus Privacy Collection Notice also contain information about how entrants may update their preferences, access, update or correct their personal information, how entrants may complain about a breach of the Australian Privacy Principles or any other applicable law and how those complaints will be dealt with.
- If this Competition is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, including but not limited to technical difficulties, unauthorised intervention or fraud, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law, to acting reasonably:
- disqualify any entrant; or
- subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the Competition, as appropriate.
- The winner and companion travel at their own risk and in the event of war, terrorism, state of emergency, government lockdown, pandemic, or any other kind of disaster or unforeseeable event beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control, the Promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Competition or suspend, substitute or modify the Prize, subject to any written directions from a relevant regulatory authority.
- Any cost associated with accessing the promotional website is the entrant’s responsibility and is dependent on the internet service provider used.
- Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits, excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), as well as any other implied warranties under the Australian Securities and Investments Commission Act 2001 (Cth) or similar consumer protection laws in the States and Territories of Australia (“Non-Excludable Guarantees”).
- Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded or modified by agreement, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents):
- makes no warranties or representations and expressly disclaims any and all liabilities (including for consequential damages) to the type, quality standard, or fitness or suitability for any purpose of all or part of the Prize;
- is not responsible for any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter);
- is not responsible for the loss, theft or destruction of all or part of a the Prize or the loss or theft of a cash prize;
- is not responsible for any entry or Prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter;
- is not responsible for any variation in the value of non-cash prizes to that stated in these Terms and Conditions;
- is not responsible if any of the events for the Prize is delayed, postponed or cancelled for any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter;
- is not responsible for any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; or
- does not accept any liability for any personal injury, loss or damage arising from the acceptance, use or misuse of the Prize, or the failure to claim or use the Prize.
- makes no warranties or representations and expressly disclaims any and all liabilities (including for consequential damages) to the type, quality standard, or fitness or suitability for any purpose of all or part of the Prize;
