The film is inspired by the folk legend of demon possession, revolving around the Duong Phuc family - a prestigious family in Hue, famous for its traditional porcelain inlay craft. The head of the family is Me Bich a powerful woman, with two sons, Vinh Trong and Vinh Thai.
The tragedy begins when Gia Cuong, Vinh Thai's son, the one chosen to continue the family has an accident. During the burial ceremony, a black cat suddenly jumps over the body, bringing the boy back to life. The joy had not yet spread when a series of mysterious and creepy events began to occur, signaling impending disasters.
